10. For this bellringer, you are to tell which of the colors, blue or red, is more representative of the USA and why. You must supply an answer and give support to back up each contradicting response. You may not "sit on the fence" and choose white. For example, I might answer as follows:

blue - because the Union wore Navy uniforms during the Civil War. Navy is the shade of blue in our flag, and this color represents the union that was preserved.

red - because there has been much blood spilt from and by the founders and citizens of this great nation, and red reminds us that there isn't much more important to we humans than blood.
